On October 8th, H&T Recharge celebrated the official Grand Opening of our new state-of-the-art battery can manufacturing facility, H&T Kansas, in De Soto, KS, USA.

We were honored to welcome Kansas Lieutenant Governor and Secretary of Commerce David Toland, who joined Engelbert Heitkamp (Chairman of the H&T Group Advisory Board), Angela Lampert (Chairwoman), our CEO Dietmar Schmitz, and our President Tobias Ott for the ribbon cutting ceremony. Inspiring remarks and a guided tour brought the new facility to life for our guests – among them Kansas state officials, representatives from the Kansas City area and the City of De Soto, leaders from our customer Panasonic Energy, valued business partners, H&T executives, and the whole H&T Kansas team.

Two years after groundbreaking, the opening of H&T Kansas, LLC. represents a remarkable achievement driven by sustained collaboration and technical excellence – together with our valued customer Panasonic Energy Corporation of North America, the teams at H&T Recharge and across the whole Heitkamp & Thumann Group, and our suppliers and partners.
This milestone marks a significant step forward in our shared journey with Panasonic Energy in Kansas towards a cleaner, more sustainable future.
